Transport is provided for people who are unable to catch public transport or when public transport is not available in their area. Eligibility assessment required. Contribution fee is asked for service.
All bus routes work on the 'hail driver' system, meaning you simply hail the bus you need to catch; you do not need to be at a predefined bus stop. The hail driver system is operational outside the Nowra CBD and the bus must only be hailed where there is a safe area for the bus to pull over and stop.
The general public* are able to use school buses provided the correct fare is paid and there is spare capacity on the bus. Contact the operator for route and timetable details.
*School buses are exempt from the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act).
Shoalhaven Transport Guide
This website is designed to help you find public transport in your area.
Please click on the 'Network Map' link in the navigation bar on the left, for a general overview of transportation in the Shoalhaven.
This site’s aim is to collect local transport information for the Shoalhaven area and present it in one easy to use online resource.
To help you plan your trip, we have created a generalised map of services in the Shoalhaven.
This map is intended as a starting point only, and does not contain details of timetables or specific routes and stops; you must still obtain the latest information from your chosen service provider. To help you, we have listed their contact information (wave your mouse over a specific route on the map and the providers information will pop-up under the map check boxes).
Please use the network map (found in the quick links on the left) to find a service route that best matches your requirements, then follow the links to your chosen service provider’s website where you should find the latest time tables and detailed maps of bus routes.
